About Kilowatt Cycle Coaching
Are you a hardcore crit, track, road or CX racing cyclist? Is your first 100km ride or Grand Fondo event approaching? If so, Kilowatt Cycle Coaching can help you achieve the goals that are important to you.
Our vision is to use our knowledge and passion for cycling to help our athletes reach their full potential. We do this by providing data driven, holistic training programs that deliver measurable performance improvements for our athletes. We believe that achieving personal bests should not mean sacrificing a well balanced life. As such, we ensure that our programs fit around the other important parts of our athlete's lives.
We believe that age, gender, disability, illness or background should never be an impediment to success. Rather, we work with each athlete's unique circumstances in a way that works best for them.
Will has had a fascination with cycling from a young age after being introduced to the sport by his father. Many sleepless nights were spent in July watching Le Tour de France and learning the ways of the road.
Will decided to turn his passion for cycling into his career and became a qualified cycling coach in 2016. He has since coached national and state champions in road and track disciplines as well as the current World Transplant Games Champion in the road race. He has also worked as a Strength and Conditioning coach for Athletics Australia and AFLW via the Athlete Centre of Excellence.
Will enjoys racing criteriums and track, is obsessed with anything that is fixed gear and brakeless and hates turning right while riding!

Matt’s cycling awakening occurred in the early 90s when he acquired his first geared bike - the Malvern Star Bonecrusher. Despite the ominous name, this bike introduced him to the freedom of cycling and started him down the path of a life-long love of the sport. More than 20 years later, including 10 years of racing road, track and CX, his love of the sport continues to grow.
Matt’s involvement in the sport extends beyond simply riding and racing, including holding various roles on the Coburg Cycling Club committee, coaching club level group track and erg training sessions, running a local shop-sponsored masters racing team (Evolution Cycles Racing), whilst also being a handy wheel builder and mechanic.
